Holding a MSc. in Psychology from the University of Liege (2009), Dr. Alec Sproten earned his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Heidelberg investigating topics in developmental Neuroeconomics. There, he also gained theoretical and practical insights in Big Data and AI. From 2012, he worked as Assistant Professor at the Chair of Economic Theory at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. His teaching and research encompassed questions of theoretical ad behavioral economics. He published various articles in peer reviewed journals and discussion paper series and participated in advancing the scientific discourse with presentations about various current topics at numerous conferences. Since April 2017, he works as consultant and expert for market research and data science at the division for Strategy and Marketing Consulting at Star Cooperation. In his current projects, he supports clients in their digital transformation focusing on machine learning and big data.
