Dr Claudia Schepers is manager in the area of ”Advanced Analytics” at the Merck KGaA. Her primary focus is on data analytics within and beyond the organization as well as exploiting artificial intelligence to gain business insights. She has years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, including big data, IT, strategy, project and knowledge management.
The chemist earned her doctorate at the TU Berlin in the field of materials science and was already in the 1990s a great advocate of theoretical chemistry and bioinformatics, which she already practiced at various research institutions (TUB, Helmholtz, MPI).
Since then, her main interest has been in computer-aided analyses to identify not easily accessible insights and scientific context, thereby supporting corporate decision-making.
