Bertrand Pailhès
Coordinator National AI Strategy for France
Bertrand Pailhès is the national coordinator for the French AI strategy, working within the Digital and ICT interministerial Directorate (DINSIC). Bertrand Pailhès is an engineer (Telecom ParisTech) and also graduated in political science (Sciences Po Paris). His past positions were in ARCEP (French telecom regulator), CNIL (French data protection authority) and, from 2013 to 2017, as a member of the cabinet of the French Secretary of State for Digital Affairs. As chieff of staff of the Secretary of State, he prepared in particular the Digital Republic Law, entered into force in October 2016, which focuses on open public data, net neutrality, fairness for digital platforms and data privacy.
