Christian Hahn studied Mechanical Engineering and Business Administrations at Technical University of Darmstadt. Following, he began his career at Energy Baden-Württemberg AG as a project engineer in the department of research and innovation. Main topics were projects in the field of renewable energies such as wind and biogas.
In 2013 he changed jobs to DB Fernverkehr where he worked mainly in the field of maintenance optimization regarding the IC-fleet. Since 2017 he is head of the department of energy efficiency at DB Regio. The department is responsible for energy forecasts used for tenders in the public transport market in Germany as well as analyzing and optimizing energy consumption throughout Regio Rail.
