Thank you for a great
Big-Data.AI Summit 2018!
1.200+ participants, over 200 speakers, 60 hours program. Two exciting days of the Big-Data.AI Summit are over. On day one, the now sixth Big Data Summit proved that the right analysis of large amounts of data brings valuable insights for companies in every industry. Topics on the stages included optimizing the customer experience, predicting energy consumption and how companies can evolve into a data-driven company in order to play along the tech giants in the future.
The AI Summit, which took place for the first time on the second day of the double event, also offered exciting insights into the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Frank Riemensperger (CEO of Accenture) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Dengel (Scientific Director at DFKI) emphasized that every process in companies can be improved by AI technologies. In Germany, one must finally be more active in the area in order not to be deterred from Asia, especially China. This was followed by Mohak Shah (VP - AI and Machine Learning at LG Electronis) who called for AI projects to focus on key issues rather than just the simple ones. It's time to become braver, take risks and accept setbacks on the road to success:"The risk taking appetite has to increase!
Speakers also included Prof. Dr. Michael Feindt (Professor at KIT and founder & chief scientist at Blue Yonder), Xiaoqun Clever (Chief Technology & Data Officer, Member of the Group Executive Board at the Ringier Group), Dr. Christian Schlögel (CTO of KUKA) and Dr. Markus Noga (Department Head of Machine Learning at SAP).
In addition to the extensive stage program, participants developed concrete approaches for their own company in workshops and established valuable contacts with potential cooperation partners in the exhibition and networking area.
We would like to thank all participants, speakers and event partners for a successful Big-Data.AI Summit 2018! The next Big-Data.AI Summit will take place from 10 - 11 April 2019 in Berlin. See you there!
