This was the
Big-Data.AI Summit 2018

Look Back

At the Big-Data.AI Summit in Hanau on 28 February and 1 March, more than 1,200 participants, over 200 speakers and 32 exhibitors gathered to discuss the development of data management and the application of artificial intelligence. In the 60 hours program, the speakers gave interesting insights into their own experiences. In 70 percent of the lectures, data experts and users presented best practice examples. The participants also took part in workshops and developed individual approaches for their own company. In the exhibition and networking area, visitors and suppliers made valuable contacts for future collaborations.

While the now sixth Big Data Summit dealt with the potential of the analysis of large amounts of data, the first AI Summit on day two focused on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Numerous top-class speakers were present, including the Chairman of Accenture's Management Board Frank Riemensperger, the Scientific Director of DFKI Prof. Dr. Andreas Dengel, the CEO of Techniker Krankenkasse Dr. Jens Baas, the Chief Technology & Data Officer of the Ringier Group Xiaoqun Clever and Professor at KIT and founder and Chief Scientist of Blue Yonder Prof. Dr. Michael Feindt.

We would like to thank all participants, speakers and our event partners for a successful Big Data.AI Summit 2018! The next Big-Data.AI Summit will take place in Berlin from 10 - 11 April 2019.

All released presentations on the individual lectures are made available for download in the respective program items.
